Product Description

Achieve the same cardiovascular workout you get on a treadmill while also enjoying a superior lower-body muscle workout with the StairMaster 7000PT stepmill. The machine, which works out your heart, lungs, and muscles without jarring your joints, is outfitted with a patented revolving staircase with 8-inch-high steps that closely mimic the feel of genuine stairs. Once you start climbing, it feels just like walking or running the stairs of your local sports arena or auditorium, but in the comfort of your own home. Users have their choice of several speeds--from 24 to 162 steps per minute--with an electronically controlled alternator precisely controlling the pedal descent. The easy-to-read, backlit LCD display, meanwhile, offers six workout programs with integrated progress monitors: quick start, manual, fat burner, calorie burner, speed intervals, and heart rate zone trainer.

Best of all for serious workout enthusiasts, the 7000 PT offers a nationally recognized fitness test to gauge individual progress, along with a custom firefighter test (CPAT). Other details include 20 resistance levels, Polar-compatible telemetry heart rate monitoring, a maximum weight capacity of 300 pounds, and such user amenities as a reading rack, water bottle holder, and accessory tray. The 7000 PT, which requires a minimum ceiling height of 10 feet, measures 29 by 78 by 50 inches (W x H x D) and weighs 409 pounds. It also carries the following warranties: 15 years on the frame, 3 years on parts, and one year on labor and wear items.

"Best for person with enlarge heart."
By, Itachi Uchiha

"I had enlarge heart and after using it for 6 month, 3 times a week, 20 minutes a day it has shrunk back almost to normal size. This machine gives you a good work out without impact on your joints. I highly recommend it. Just put in front of your TV and enjoy it."

"Must have if you hate to exercise!!!
By, Kim Brugger "home gym ratt" (riverside, california)

"I hate to exercise, but who wants to be fat? So I've been going to the gym for about 3 years now. That is where I tried the stepmill. At first I could only go a few minutes, but those few minutes kicked my butt! I gradually worked my way up to 30 minutes, and what a drenched mess of sweat I was in after those 30 minutes. You can do so much on this thing! You can climb sideways, working your inner thighs, backwards for your calves, and skip a step when going forward to really give your butt a lift. And then you can lift your leg out while stepping slowly for a stretch and a harder workout. On the cooldown, you can do calf raises, with just the ball of your foot on the step you lift yourself with just your calf muscles. Its an amazing workout, it burns the most calories in the shortest amount of time, and with all the different electronic workouts to choose from, it doesn't really get boring. It constantly tells you how many calories you're burning, how many floors you've climbed, etc. I bought a video ipod and watch movies while doing this and I've now gone for one hour, burning over 400 calories! But I've found good fast music really pushes me to go faster and kick my own a**. I bought this machine because it is always being used at my gym and we only had 2 there, so for my bday, I bought myself one. It's outside because its so huge, but with a fan it's awesome!"
